1 day @ Cao Dai Temple & Củ Chi Tunnel, Vietnam

On one of the days in Vietnam, my family and I took a day tour to Cao Dai Holy See @ Tay Ninh Province and the famous undergound tunnels built during America-Vietnam war, well known as Củ Chi Tunnel!

Cao Dai Temple

We moved out from the city at 8:30am and the journey to Cai Dao Temple is approximately 3 hours by bus. Surprisingly, Cao Dai religion is an ultimate religion by combining Buddhist, Taoist, Catholic and Confucian.

Buddhist, Taoist, Catholic and Confucian?

Every day at 6am, 12pm, 6pm and 12am, prayer ceremony will be made. This was a great chance for me to witness their prayer ceremony at 12pm.

Cao Dai prayer ceremony at 12pm.

Music plays along during the prayer.

For about 1 hour lingering at Cao Dai Temple, we head our journey to Củ Chi Tunnel - about 1.5 hours from Cao Dai Temple and also half way back to Ho Chi Minh City.

1 of the hidden entrance to the tunnel.

I did try to walk for 20 metres, it was so not fun (that was the imitate tunnel if I'm not wrong)... And trust me, you wouldn't want to walk further than that... The network underground tunnel is small and very complicated!

The original tunnel.

Various kinds of traps used during the war.

Can't really see the traps aye?  Scroll down and you guess how it works, ok?

More traps...

A part from seeing these tunnel and traps, a short documentary film about the war was also shown... Nonetheless, the most interesting part is the shooting part!

Me with AK-47.

There is me, toying with AK-47 and 10 of its bullets... No play-play, after the 10 repelling shots, my shoulder had minor bruises... I've paid about USD17.50 for the 10 shots (minimum 10), definitely a great experience!

So that's all for now, do check out my other related posts yo!
