CNY 2012 countdown @ Jonker Walk, Melaka

Boom baby! 2012 is gonna be an awesome year! Not because of "doom's day". It is simply because 2012 is a lunar and also a dragon year!!! Anyhow, here's a short blog post with some happening photos taken during CNY countdown @ Jonker Walk, Malacca. Ohya, remember previous post (Dragon nest @ Pavilion KL) that I'm talking about the rumour dragon can be found @ jonker Walk? Guess it is real after all!

Quote from New Straits Times:
The 121-metre-long 1Malaysia prosperity dragon guarding the entrance to Jonker Walk, Malacca. The RM120,000 dragon, whose twin harmony dragon is located in Jalan Kubu, was assembled to usher in the Chinese New Year

Cool huh?

My oh my! Look at it! The dragon can even shot water! Maybe in conjunction with the water dragon year? LOL

Fascinating aye the dragon? Too bad, that's the widest I can go... Man, how nice if I had a 11mm lens! Anyway, that's all about the dragon at the main entrance of Jonker Walk. Now let's walk through the street until the main stage, where countdown is held.

Compared to previous years, this year is really happening. Along the street, red clothes with dragon symbol patches on are hung, from one end to the other end!

Now, look at the balloon yellow dragon! Awww, isn't it looks cute?! Iskkk, screw that big head guy, ruined the photo...

Like every year, during the countdown event, dances and songs will be performed. Hmm, last year, I thought the government forgotten to change the "2010" on top, but it seems this year is still the same. Does it mean that the stage was built on year 2010?

Hak! MY.FM crews were singing CNY songs on the stage.

The Governor of Malacca, Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob, is doing the opening ceremony on stage, by "writing" the word "龍" in chinese calligraphy.

As usual, sharp at 12, fireworks will light up the sky! Once again, I would like to wish everyone

HAPPY DRAGON LUNAR CHINESE NEW YEAR YO!

Dragon nest @ Pavilion KL

Owh Em Geeee!!! Could you believe that? A dragon nest has been found in Pavilion KL!!! Rumour says that the dragon is very huge and flying furiously across the main event hall of Pavilion KL! And so, because of this, I "rush" my way back to KL from Kemaman!

Guess the rumour was right after all! The dragon is huge indeed and it seems that it got no where else to escape! RAWR!!! Anyway, get back to reality, the dragon looks freaking awesome! Is there any reason why it wouldn't be so attractive?

See that? In conjunction with Chinese New Year and the dragon year, Pavilion KL has decorated its main event hall with this huge dragon! Incredibly amazing eh?

Hold on, it's not only Pavilion KL that has the dragon nest, rumour says Melaka Jonker Walk has one as well! Stay tuned for more updates!

HAPPY DRAGON LUNAR CHINESE NEW YEAR YO!
May everyone gets healthier & wealthier!

My 6th to 10th week in Kemaman!

Hah! Nothing much new food to introduce during the duration of my internship for Week 6 to Week 10, hence, this post will be more to sceneries. Apparently, there is a night market in the Chukai town, which opens on every Monday and Thursday. Lotsa local foods can be found at the night market there! Speaking of local food, one of it is the nasi kerabu.

Nasi kerabu.

Obviously, something unique about this food is that the colour of the rice, which is in blue colour! You know what, once you eat it, you will be a part of the Na'vi... Do you know what I'm talking about?

Yea, the blue skinned indigenous species from the Avatar movie. Just kidding lol! Let's talk about the taste. It is simply amazing! Tell you what, if you had the chance to visit Terengganu and Kelantan, never ever miss this blue rice and remember, nasi kerabu is the name! Because it is quite popular in the East Coast, especially in Kelantan! So that's all about food, only one...

Junk rig! O_O

I'm not to sure whether I have the right to share this photo or not. Anyhow, I took this from Kemaman Supply Base (KSB). I heard from many that it is an old rig, real old rig and perhaps it can be known as junk rig! Aww, poor little structure there, I hope I can bring it back home! LOL

At Kemasik Beach, Terengganu.

I have been to several beaches in Kemaman, but somehow, I think Kemasik Beach is one the best, or perhaps the best in my opinion. Because, quite a number of the huge rocks (I don't know what it called) can be found there, just like the one in the photo above.

Omar Khan, my "model".
Ah hak! Thanks to this great poser, Omar Khan, I manage to get this shoot, awesome? Imagine, if he is replaced by a bikini girl, ain't it gonna be epic?! Anyway, Kemasik is really a beautiful beach, I hope I can go there again at a fine and clearer weather.

Foggy environment in the morning of Kemaman Supply Base (KSB).

Talk about weather, I like the foggy environment in the morning of Kemaman Supply Base (KSB). Somehow, this condition doesn't appear that often around KSB area, could it be smelless smoke? Guess that's all for now. Stay tuned for more (perhaps last) update as I will end my internship in another 2 weeks time.
