Pizza Hut: Chunky Loaded Pizza

My aunt, Aunty Shirley (my mum's 2nd eldest sister), is a fan of Pizza Hut. Each time Pizza Hut release a new menu, especially spaghetti pizza, she will definitely drag me along to give it a try. So, she has been waiting for the right time to bring me to try the all new 'Chunky Loaded Pizza', which it claimed to contain 10 layers of different ingredients clamped together.

Well, we ordered 'Chunky Loaded 1', which is for 2 people and the topping we tried was chicken. Now, I will straight to my points, the 'Chunky Loaded Pizza' was kind of disappointing. We expected it to be nicer, tastier, thicker and juicier, yet, it wasn’t. This situation reminded me of KFC's Shrimp Stix, in the picture shown it was as big as a drum stick, but what we get was as small as our pinky finger. Just look at the pictures I’ve taken of the 'Chunky Loaded Pizza', I guess they over-baked?

Image: Chunky loaded pizza.

In Pizza Hut, I observed the tables around me, all ordered 'Chunky Loaded Pizza' and all were over-baked. What a shame. Jeez, something wrong with their ovens' settings? Guess the original flavours are simply the best after all!

*p/s: I rated this as 6/10.

HWM (March 2010 Issue)

Finally, I've managed to get a copy of HWM for March 2010 issue, last copy in Miri perhaps? Guess how much it costed me. RM12? Nah, don’t forget I’m in East Malaysia right now. RM14? As stated in the cover page? Nah, I’ve no idea why I got it for RM17, lame. I bought it in a local magazine store in Bintang Plaza, instead of getting it from Popular bookstore. Reason, I’m too late, the entire HWM magazines have been bought by a customer! And why on Earth that the particular customer needs so many copy of it?! Perhaps he bought RM14 for each copy then sells RM17 to people like me, goddamnit curse him!

Anyway, the freebies for this issue are cool! 1 booklet of ‘Digital Living’, 1 booklet of Sony products and a copy of Microsoft Office 2010 CD installer! But too bad, the installer is a Beta version and it’s for 32-bit. Argh, my Windows 7 is 64-bit curse them!

A good lesson for me, don't ever delay from buying something I desire for!

Picture to Share: Bug with Mango Tree

Almost every evening, I'll stand by my gears, just to capture those reddish clouds and orange sky. However, while I was waiting for the sunset, something else has caught my eyes.

Wonder why did I get attracted? Because there were plenty of such bugs flying and buzzing around the mango tree!

As soon as I woke up this morning, around 8:30am, it was raining. Immediately, I ran back into my room to grab my gears to capture some pictures of water particles. So, here's one I would like to share.

I've forgotten Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour 2010 was held from 8:30pm till 9:30pm local time, on March 27. My actual plan was to support it, at the mean time, I wanna try playing with light trail pictures. However, I’ve totally forgotten about Earth Hour! My "excuse", I was busy cleaning the dusts inside my camera’s sensor. Oh no, I’m so sorry mother Earth.

Anyway, I’ve finally found a dust blower in Miri, in a local hardware and supermarket store, namely 'Ng Sian Hap Trading'. I’ve tried to find any unknown brand dust blower in eMart and Bintang Plaza (including Parkson), yet I get nothing. In the end, my mind came across of that hardware store, and bingo, I’ve found it! Well, in my opinion, ‘Ng Sian Hap Trading’ stand a chance to challenge with the well known ‘ACE Hardware’ in Malaysia. What you need, what you want, just name it.

Driving with Soul

As the last day of school holidays is on March 21st, it’s time for my cousin-nephew, Junior, to come back to Miri on March 20th. At the mean time, my uncle, Junior’s grandpa, was assigned to attend some courses during the weekend, thus, the only driver was me, instead of both of us.

To Bintulu from Miri:
After having our breakfast, we left Miri at 10:35am. After passed by Bekenu, heavy rain started to fall, as expected, because it was so cloudy on that day. How heavy was it? I don’t know how to describe, but it was so heavy until I need to slow down, from 110km/h to 70km/h, to ensure that I’m on my own lane. I guess the visibility after 100m was near nil, totally can’t see what’s in front as the water splashed on the road surface rapidly. When reaching a T-junction, left turn to Bintulu while right turn to Similajau, the rain subsided. Then, I speeded up to 150km/h and did not dare to go faster since the car belongs to my cousin. Just a little info, the road from Bekenu to the T-junction is very bumpy, but after the T-junction it is smooth. After reached our destination around 1:20pm, I took a short nap.

To Miri from Bintulu:
Around 2:40pm, we left Bintulu and headed back to Miri. Well, nothing much happened here, until I faced…… 6 empty trailers without container in a line in front of me (in between the T-junction and Bekenu). From far, I saw the trailers overtook each other. Then, I tailgated them on the winding roads, at speed of 90km/h, for more than 10 minutes. OMG, it was so scary. Until a straight road, I overtook 3 trailers in 1 shot (my aunt kept warning me to be careful). Then, I tailgated the other 3 for about 5 minutes, until another straight road, I overtook them in 1 shot, again. After overtook those 6 trailers, I was deeply relieved.

Once reached Miri, we stopped by at Bintang Plaza for an early dinner. After lingering around, we headed back and reached home around 7:30pm. Gosh, I was so exhausted. Based on my experiences, this was my 3rd time driving thru and flow from Miri to Buntulu, regardless the trip on March 13th, as I only drove on the journey back to Miri. Overall, this driving trip was simply the best for me.

Orthographic that can kill me

Finally, after few days of headache, I’ve submitted my Engineering Graphic assignment, today! Just drawings, can kill my head, jeez. Anyway, see the scanned drawings which I uploaded, those are my 4 “simple” drawings that I sketched, not the real 1.

Image 1: Questions 1 & 2.
Image 2: Questions 3 &4.

My sketching are terrible, hehe. Anyway, I'm gonna have my mid-term for Machine Dynamics on this coming Thursday, from 4:30pm till 5:30pm. Gosh, I'm still in my blurry mode after 3 weeks of lectures. Wish me luck!

1st Zoom Effect

Today, I've spent nearly half day for my Engineering Graphic assignment, it's all about orthographic drawings. Jeez, if we were allowed to use AutoCAD for the drawings, there will be no headache for me, everything must be done with hand, manually, that's sooooo not cool. The moment I do until I get bored, that's the time I force myself to take a break by taking some pictures. Here you go.

Image: Zoom effect on the bag.

This is my 1st time shooting 'zoom effect' picture and this is the best I can get, after failed for more than 10 times. Thanks to my hands that I can't get a perfect shoot, can I blame the assignment? Anyway, here are some details of the picture.
Exposure: 2s
Aperture: f/9
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off
Uh, I think I need to get back to my work.

Carter Burwell - Bella's Lullaby

I'm sharing this video, titled known as 'Bella's Lullaby' by Carter Burwell, from the soundtrack of Twilight. The reason I post up this video is because, this song was played by my youngest sister, Elycia Sang. Thus, I'm helping her to promote her 1st video. HD version is available, simply set the quality to 720p (not recommended by me). So, here you go.

*p/s: Video was recorded with Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7.

Picture to Share

Finally, I've made up my mind that I'm gonna start sharing pictures at least once a week, even there's nothing nice to snap. So, here's a picture that I shot today with my Nokia N82 in my campus, Curtin University of Technology (Sarawak Campus).

Well, let's hope there's something can catch my eyes everyday ;)

To Bintulu

School holiday for March is from 13 until 21. According to plan, my cousin-nephew, Junior, will go back to his mum’s longhouse in Sungai Asap, Bintulu to spend his time with his relatives. Thus, my uncle and I together will drop Junior at his uncle house in Bintulu (not longhouse) and then we will head back to Miri on the same day.

Well, our plan was, my uncle will drive to Bintulu from Miri and I will drive back to Miri from Bintulu. So, we moved out from Miri at 9:15am right after our breakfast and we reached our destination at 11:20am, the distant we travelled from Miri to Bintulu approximately 200km. Since my uncle drove from Miri to Bintulu, therefore, I took my opportunity to spam some pictures along the journey.

After dropped Junior at his uncle’s house, we then hang around Bintulu town for a while and left Bintulu at 1:40pm. So, here are some pictures I would like to share.

Image 1: My cousin-nephew, Junior.
Image 2: Random shoot along the way to Bintulu.

More pictures are available at HERE, my facebook. Ah, we will travel to Bintulu again on March 20 to get Junior back, and that shall be my 4th time to Bintulu, stay tuned!

Courier Service: Poslaju VS Skynet

As stated above in title, I, hereby would like to compare these 2 national courier service companies which I experienced before, they are the Poslaju and Skynet. For Poslaju, in order for you to receive your item(s) on the next day, you’ll have to ask the shipper to post your item(s) before lunch hour. However, for Skynet, time is not an issue. Believe it or not, you can receive any of your item(s) via Skynet on the following day, regardless the postage time, even thought the item(s) being posted at 7:30pm.

Here’s a proof, I get my item on the following afternoon although the item was posted at 7:30pm. Unlike Poslaju, if you post your item at 3pm for instant, you’ll most likely receive your item 2 days later. Well, for your info, I’m comparing the postages from West Malaysia to East Malaysia.

Image 1: Just look at the time.

Just look at the picture I attached, Skynet is still working at 3am! Well, I haven’t experience the other carrier services such as DHL, so I can’t really say which is the best. Just that, by comparing Poslaju and Skynet, in terms of speed, Skynet pawned Poslaju.

Burn the Barbarians

1st thing, I wish that Miri can rain every morning and every evening, with at least 1 hour each time and as heavy as it could. Reason? Simple, just to prevent those ‘barbarians’ to “perform” their open burning “performance”. You know why do I call those irresponsible people ‘barbarians’? Because their attitude really like barbarians. Open burning also can be done in front of Petronas petrol station, imagine if the fire spread to the opposite, oh shit, say bye bye to Miri.

Curse them, I’m coughing like mad for nearly 1 week. Past few days sick like, uh, so hard to get up from bed, suspected virus fever because my joints all pain. Anyhow, I’m cured from the fever except, well ya know, coughing!!!

Jeez these officers in Miri, did they even notice there are smokes every corner around Miri? Or are they just blind enough to close 1 eye to see their own relatives “performing” their “performance”. Now, I feel that I’m so desperate until I wanna shout it out to ‘Karam Singh Walia’ from TV3!

I’m sick of the fire!
I’m sick of the haze!
I’m sick of the smoke!
I’m sick of the barbarians!!!

HWM (February 2010 Issue)

I should have posted this long ago, but forgotten. Well, this was the HWM for February issue. Thanks to General_Nic aka Nicholas Gow for helping me get a copy from MPH, as I couldn’t find any in the local bookstores (slowpokes). Well, I’ve found out 2 typos in this issue, 1 is regarding the New Intel Processor, HWM mentioned Core i4 instead of Core i3 while the other 1 is regarding the Canon DSLR, HWM mentioned 500D and 450D, but the picture shown was wrong, 500D and 450D were swapped in the picture. Find out for yourself, I did not bring the magazine along with me to Miri, so I couldn’t type any further details. Jeez, I only read through 1 round, which was still not enough for me! Maybe I can spot more typos? LOL

Image 1: HWM (February 2010 Issue)

Ah, I will be looking forward for March issue and I hope I can get it in Miri. *finger crossed*

Damn Open Burning

Tuesday, my class starts at 8am. This morning, I woke up not because of my alarm, but because I sniffed something... Awful!!! Guess what it is. It’s errr, smoke, from the open burning by irresponsible people in Miri. Gosh, it was just 6:03am! My alarm was set to 5:55am, but “special thanks” to the “mist” that I did not delay my time, argh!

Smoke? Haze? OMG, whatever it is, it is so damn bloody freaking thick and worst of all, it stink! Curse them!!! Definitely it’s not fogging, from the smell we can know, right? As I opened the front door, I can see those smoke blown by the wind, to the North. OMG OMG, just look at the pictures below, on my way to Curtin, it is so terrible!

Image 1: Can you spot the white moon?
Image 2: The Mini Copper in front was my 2nd cousin's wife, not sure she noticed me or not, haha!

After my lecture ended at 10am, I finally can see the bright sky. I guess the “thing” has blown to… Brunei? By the way, sorry for the low quality pictures, I was driving. Screw these people!

The Moon

These few days, the moon that I saw at 7pm was at my eyes’ level. Low enough? Not only that, it is 100% round, super bright and very close. Lovely. Too bad, I’ve tried to get some pictures with my Nokia N82, but it failed me. Wait till next time, but, when?

The moon is round that I feel it’s free to move.
The moon is bright that I feel it’s glad to smile.
The moon is close that I feel it’s warm to hug.
