Birthday Trip to Broga Hill, Semenyih

31st January is my date of birth. For year 2010, I purposely organized a 1-day-birthday trip to Broga Hill, Semenyih. Birthday trip? Just an excuse so that everyone can make it, LOL! So lucky, it falls on Sunday, everybody is free and able to attend, especially my secondary friends, 5S1-ians!!! Firstly, I wanna thanks to those who attended this 1-day-birthday trip to Broga Hill, I'm glad that most of you can make it! It meant a lot to me! Thank you thank you thank you!

Ok, so we gathered at Taman Melati McDonald and started our journey at 6am. We used the MRR2 and entered the exit to Taman Connaught, Cheras whereby there is a green signboard stated to Semenyih too. To get there was so simple, just keep following the signboard to Kajang/Semenyih until a traffic light which has a small signboard stated 'Broga 500m', then, turn left and you'll get there by going straight to a rabbit farm, make sure you'll pass by University of Nottingham. By just following the signboard to Kajang/Semenyih, we passed by 2 tolls, 1st toll costed RM1 while the 2nd toll costed RM0.90. We touch & we go~

We reached Broga Hill about 7:20am and we started to follow the pathways as soon as we get there, to see the sunrise (although it's late). From what I've observed, there were 4 peaks whereby the pathways were there for us to follow. Before going up, you'll see a rabbit farm at the bottom of the hill and it's located oppositely. You have to walk a short distant in a oil palm plantation, very short indeed. You can either park your car inside that plantation with surcharge of RM2 (private land mah, that's how they make money) or else you park by the road side for free, but at your own risk (then walk further a bit lor).

My New Nike AIR Basketball Shoes

Finally, after looking desperately for more than a week, I got my new basketball shoes @ Sunway Pyramid! Like I mentioned earlier (if you got read my previous post), let me copy and paste and change a bit. "I've searched Times Square, Mid Valley, few Jaya Jusco(s), but I don't see any design that caught my eyes. I've been to Pavilion, finally felt in love on 1 pair of Nike AIR, yet so unfortunate, left size 8, which was not my size! On 25th Jan, searched whole 1 Utama and The Curve, it disappointed me! I found nothing that similar to the 1 I saw in Pavilion!"

So now, tada, it's the Nike AIR basketball shoes that I saw in Pavilion and it costed me RM329 nett. I bought it with one simple reason, just to replace my 5 years old faulty Tim Duncan adidas basketball shoes, which costed me RM320 after 20% discount, I love that shoes so much and I'm not gonna dump it away! Uh, I also love my new 1! I'm gonna take a good care of it!

Pronoucing the word '-ean'

This simple question was asked by 1 of my sisters (Eunice Sang) last few days and I don't know how to answer her. Well, it's kinda funny. Try to pronounce the following words:

1. Clean
2. Bean
3. Lean
5. Dean
6. Mean
7. Jean
8. Sean

Spot the difference? Does the name 'Sean' sounds like 'sin'? I did not do any research, but then come to think of it, it's weird. The pronunciation was different, it is because 'Sean' is a name? And I remember there are some words out there which are similar to this situation, but I can't think of it for now. Simply drop by a comment if you knew the proper answer(s).

PAWS-perity in 1 Utama (21 January - 21 February 2010)

I went to 1 Utama today with General_Nic aka Nicholas Gow, just to find a new pair of basketball shoes to replace my old damaged Tim Duncan adidas basketball shoes (been assisting me for 5 years). I've searched Times Square, Mid Valley, few Jaya Jusco, but I don't see any design that caught my eyes. I've been to Pavilion, finally felt in love on 1 pair of Nike air, yet so unfortunate, left size 8, which was not my size! Just now, searched whole 1 Utama and The Curve, it disappointed me! I found nothing that similar to the 1 I saw in Pavilion! Oh well, Wednesday might be going to Sunway Pyramid, my final destination. According to General_Nic aka Nicholas Gow, he saw it in Sunway with many sizes available! I'm gonna cross my fingers tightly on Wednesday, or else I'm dead! No shoes to sport, no shoes to exercise, no shoes to Broga Hill on 31st of January!

Anyhow, something else has cheered me up in 1 Utama, it was the 招财猫 aka fortune cat. MEOW~ Prosperity with PAWS-perity!!! Those fortune cats were so adorable, cute and FLUFFY!!!

Solving 1-colour Mastermorphix

I bought this pillowed mastermorphix (1 colour version) in Miri, Sarawak last few months, I can't remember when but it costed me RM14 in a local toy shop. I've been twisting it for months, and this is what I can get so far, most of the time.

Image 3: 3 pieces remaining.

Sometimes, I may even left 2 pieces for the middle part (no picture taken). Guess I can't twist my head like a mastermorphix. Anyway, here's a video as a guide on how to solve 1 colour mastermorphix. I'm forcing myself not to follow the guide yet, until the day I give up twisting my head. You should get 1 if you have not try on it yet, it's kinda twisting! =)

Kingston Limited Edition - Tiger Drive

cLook what I got today at Low Yat Plaza, it's a limited edition Kingston so known as the Tiger Drive for year 2010. I bought it for RM35 for 4Gb at ThunderMatch, the cheapest I saw was RM34 for 4Gb but then I don't really trust that shop. I missed the Mouse Drive and the Pig Drive for the last 2 years, but last year I manage to get 1 the Ox Drive. I'm not gonna miss the following Zodiac Drives! Uh, I just love the tiger stripes at the back part of the pendrive.

Film era: SLR

Look what I've found, my mum's old SLR which was a gift from her brother as a present. According to my mum, she started using it since 1982, when she was still in the school of nursing until, erm, I'm not too sure about it. Film film film!

Well, the body is Vivitar v335, the lense is Cosina 50mm and with a flash of Vitacon 918. It has shutter speed ranged from 1 to 2000 and ASA/ISO up to 1600. Uh too bad, the SLR seems not working already, the trigger will not go back to its original position when it being released, perhaps servicing is the only solution here, tomorrow might check about it. The only thing is, we have to keep buying film instead of using memory cards. But still, it should be fun to play manual photoshooting instead of everything fully auto nowadays. I might try it out someday! Let the film era reborn!

HWM (January 2010 Issue)

Okay, this is my first time buying this HardWare Magazine, which known as HWM. Uh, I've finally owned it after waiting desperately for 1 week. I usually read it from my buddy, Nicholas Gow, and this time, I get it for myself, because I think it's worth buying. It costed me RM12 in West Malaysia, not sure how much does it cost in East Malaysia and I'm ready to purchase it when I'm in Miri, Sarawak, I hope there is! Or else, I'll get someone to post it to me, you know who you are, buddy, lol!

HWM mainly descripting. promoting, revealing, giving opinions and so on about the latest and upcoming hardwares in the market, like digital cameras, PC hardwares and handphones etc etc! Ohya, there's a free P1WIMAX 2010 calendar when you purchased this magazine for this month. Get a copy now or you'll regret!

'25 Minutes' in my mind

Oh geez, ever heard of '25 Minutes' by Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR)? I bet you did. This song was relased in the 2nd album of MLTR with the title of 'Colours' in 1993, I was only 3 years old back then.

My point is, this song has been playing in my mind for nearly 5 months. I couldn't forget about it. But, to whom or for who? The last time I listened to this song might be 10 years ago. Now, I can play this song 24/7 for no good reason. My oh my, just look at the following video with lyrics encoded.

What a lovely song with a meaningful lyric. I hope such situation may not occur in my life. It's pain!

Annular Eclipse (15-1-2010)

Read HERE for more info regarding this annular eclipse which occured on January 15, 2010.

I've been waiting for such chances to have a look at the solar eclipse with my own naked eyes. Guess what, these were only what I managed to get from my house at Kuala Lumpur.

Image 1: Far view.
Image 2: Closest view that I can get.

Both images were taken with my dad's Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 at 3:37pm local time. I've been trying to get more shoots, but as the time goes by, the sun missing. I'll be looking forward for July 11, 2010, the next solar eclipse!

Full name: Ezra Sang Jia Juin

I was born in Malacca but I live in Kuala Lumpur. I was in St Ronan kindergarten from 3 years old until 5 years old and shifted to Lee Rubber kindergarten at the age of 6, because I need to learn Mandarin. Currently, I'm taking my degree in Curtin University of Technology Sarawak Campus, East Malaysia. My 2nd year, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering will begin on 1st of March 2010. So you may find out that I'll be travelling through and flow from West Malaysia to East Malaysia and from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, from time to time.
